Starry Starry Sky

starry sky-1

I

Like a garden of roses,
she blossoms in fancy.
Though silence & solitude,
it wilts her away..

Like angels of hush,
wind sings some metaphors.
Entwining our guts, in impossible to say..

Entangled so I , beneath the open sky.
Untraversed by darkness,
but these starry sights..

I yearn and I sigh.
Beneath starry starry sky.
Entangled yet I , in my metaphors..

I sigh and I try.
Beneath starry starry sky.
I burn till until , like a firefly..

II

You the sea –
be so vast and so paranoid!
& I tread through these guarding waves,
in moonlight..

Them curse like beamings.
world talk such seemings.
It conjures & consumes me..

Shall we assume & then be doomed.
shall be over our entwinings,
Before eternity and yet so soon…

Conspiring are its waves,
and the silver of moon.

Yet foolish so I,
with my hopes fluttering high.
& the slivers from my sail & the sinking sighs..

Yet untraversed by rage,
but starry sights..

I wither and I wry.
Beneath the starry starry sky.
I most but almost ,
with my anchor stuck at coast.
Now I curse the anvil, with a shallowing deny.

III

We fold and unfold, in our bubble of gold.
Caressing our fears and our feebleness..
We blossom with despite, in this starry starry night –

In that garden of rose,
I plucked , the purple in prose.
and Entwined our hearts,
in our mortal morose.

I yearn and I sigh,
Beneath starry starry sky.
Entwining our eloquence,
in immortals of metaphors..

I rhyme and I write,
Beneath starry sky tonight.
Untraversed by darkness..
But reaching & raging,
to our brightest starlight..

The comedy of egregious errors

Starry Starry Sky

Times of the Master

~Sachin Tendulkar poetry is my self invented poetry genre.

It aims to bring out the nostalgia of sachin’s era. All poems in this genre are made & themed to honor Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

Times of the Master

I heard the angels, they speak in hush.
‘The master sits in smiling respite’
& million men, outside they rush.
But million things, when times are right.

The knight that rests, his legendary pars. (Powers)
Takes home his glory, through gruesome wars.
What he does make, of beauty & grim.
Of roses, of prairies & starry night’s rim.

His years then pass, abound in love.
Once angel spoke, through a chirping dove –
‘Where is the warrior & his famous sword?
The world needs saving, with glorious reward!’

To question aloud his presence such,
So spoke the master with humble touch

‘Oh Nightingale! Such mellifluent rhymes.
I have had my wars & glorious times.
I revel now, in my merry founds.
Go tell them angels, am homely bound’

‘My armor rests, in velvet drawers.
My sword hung next, to broomstick ward.
My muddy iron boots, are homing a foli-age. (Foliage)
My helmets now blunt & horses are off-rage’

Now overwhelmed, to his ingenuous reply.
The angel blessed him, in a breathless sigh-

‘Oh! Greatness is what greatness does.
Through simplest things, replete with love.
Till gods come calling, your blissful interlude.
May bless the earthly, fill homeward dues’

‘What born a warrior, a legend prodigious.
Shall remain so true, may whatever you do.
Till the glorious sun, reminds your reminisce.
Till a different task, bestows on you’

‘I shall sit on your trees, your giant shoulders.
Through heaven & earth, transcending beholder.
I will call your names, in mellifluent rhymes.
I will remind you the glory, in every such times’

~Happy Birthday Sachin.

Review :This particular poem is one of my most favorite & finest of creations. It’s written to inspire, encourage and amplify people’s belief in themselves. I hope the readers rekindle their passions & follow their heart towards their dreams.
I have faith! that once you’re done reading this aloud & repeatedly, ( not sermonizing!) a positive effect will bind you and we shall connect as a writer & a reader.Hopefully!, my message will get through and so will my expressions.

I hope on the day, september 23 of autumnal equinox, our mind and heart gets into a balance like day and night. We find the purpose of our lives and realize the self in our being.

It’s aimed to revive the skills & confidence of a person.

Dedication & Inspiration : This poem is inspired from the original screenplay of movie series ‘Rocky’ . It greatly draws motivation from the struggles, self-identification and self-belief of the character Rocky Balboa played by stalwart actor Sylvester Stallone.

Further, it draws inspiration from the title song‘ measure of a man’ sung by legend Sir Elton John. It aims to extrapolate and re-inforce the ideals & motif intended at the virtues of ‘being a man’ or ‘being yourself’. I hope this poem adds tribute to the respectable art work of the great actor/director and latter but no less, the king of melody.

It is dedicated to all the people, artists, dancers, actors, singers, dreamers and everyone who has fond dreams to be someone .All those who are struggling to find their touch to inner self. All those who believe in living by being themselves. All those who have faced impeccable odds to overcome difficulties, yet hold the thought that one lives best by being himself.

At-last but for most, this poem is also a dedication to my Late. brother Vikesh Kumar. His life as an artist and as a pursuant of his dreams, is a great inspiration to me and people who knew him. I hope every person born with a divine spark, shall find ability to search his light within himself by being himself. I and vikesh were greatly inspired by the work of ‘rocky’ series and the song lyrics of ‘measure of a man’ .There have been endless discussions around it. This poem is my personal dedication to those discussions, moments and ideas. In those memory is this picture below, we both really loved  it as a projection of the whole ‘being rocky’ idea 🙂

Thank you.

I

Sink feet in sand, goes head deluge.
a broken heart, can no more lose.
a share of voices, pell-mell but god.
if fond took flight, but wings aren’t bright.

II

bonded to chains,of a thoughtful tomorrow.
bereaved by passions, devoured by notions.
sometimes a spark,  kindles & delight.
sometimes breathing; in midnight silence,
i grow wings in the realize.

III

Angels of passion,rescue my dawn.
I touch a fire, & desires un-pawned.

churned & mustered, give strength to cope.
from brighter sun, to a dusk of hope.

in the solstice moon, i sit &  surmise.
smile gauge upon aureole, a moonish charmise.

IV

In hearts of heart, where no lovers reach.
In the gist of soul, a conscientious belief.
In the drift of mind, it’s one of a kind.
In the red hot blood, to ashes & mud.

V

I know, I realize, I act in now.
In silence of seconds, along shall i measure.
when world’s upon chaos, In technicolor shall savor.

to breathe in beyond- opinions, mirage & bereave.
the moments i am myself, just believe in me.

VI

them moments get inserted, in life & people.
where truth rekindles,unshackle it levitates.
&wings turn bright, they flutter & re-create.

it’s so surreal, i surmise.
like moonish charm, so bright.

VII

Delighted & en-lighted, i hover on sand.
engulf-ed in belief & gloved in identity.
nothing fits so well, when i wore myself.
just believe in moments, when i turn myself.

‘To do the right thing’

I

Can you hold the truth & lose your voice.
Can you live!, such a muffled life.

Can you find!?- that pacifier, your deviant! your Lucifer!
Or shall you stutter , then mumble, & recede to silence.

Can you swear; to hold! the truth; up-most.
Speak it blunt, cold, & un-tamed!

Such times a-blazed!, with opinions & self-doubt.
You eternally jitter!, yet stand & headway.

..With mortal calm, with immortal faith.

II

Will you envenom your soul!, with immoral toxins.
Or drench it out! –
in sweat,  in blood ,in tears.

Will you incinerate!, them innocent & helpless.
Or burn down the antagonist!, them shrewd & hellish cold.

Will you embrace them all  –
The inferno!, the bullets ! ,all coarse- cuss!
Let your soul ripped off, not ricochet.

Will you leave!, a fallen man behind.
Or stay altogether, a-last & instead.

 –

Can you do! , one right thing for me.
Will you hold, your righteous today.

.. & read to them righteous, everyday.

.
